My hometown, Fairfield, CT, where I grew up, has changed a bit over the years. It’s become more populated, busier, and the Mom and Pop shops frequented as a kid, now reside next door to bigger, corporate owned establishments.

Despite the changes, one thing you can count on annually is the Greenfield Hill’s Dogwood Festival. Put on by the Congregational Church, this year marks its 81st celebration of what’s become synonymous with the season of spring in the area, the glorious display of white and pink dogwoods in full bloom. It is truly a gorgeous sight to behold.

The festival runs May 6th through Mother’s Day, May 8th. To find out more information, click here: www.greenfieldhillchurch.com/dogwood-festival.

Go. Enjoy the festival and take a step back in time. It’s a beautiful time to visit the historic district of Fairfield, where time stands still. It’s Old Fairfield at its best.

Love, Nora
